Color MDF—produced by dyeing and molding sawdust—is a material that combines the warm texture and high workability of wood with a wide range of subtle colors and rich surface qualities. Although still relatively unfamiliar in Japan, it is gaining attention as a material with strong potential for both aesthetic and functional applications.
In this context, a project was launched under the theme: "Constructing Space Through CMF (Color, Material, Finish)." The aim is to explore new approaches to of engaging with this unique material.
