"Kehai" refers to the subtle sense of presence that we perceive from our surroundings. It involves feeling the shifts in nature, the passing of the seasons, and the small shifts in our daily lives, all of which enrich our lives and bring peace of mind. The name "Kewai" originates from the old pronunciation of "気配" (kehai).|“Sense of Spring collection”
This collection takes the cherry blossom—an emblem of spring—as its motif,
expressing both the transience of passing seasons
and wabi-sabi, one of the distinctive sensibilities of Japanese aesthetics.
Japanese artisans layered highly transparent, finest-quality resin and carefully arranged thousands of hand-cut petals, one by one.
Through this delicate craftsmanship, the fleeting moment is captured—
the instant when blossoms are lifted by the wind and about to fall.
When placed in a space, the work allows a sense of spring to emerge and linger,
resonating gently within the viewer’s heart.
It is a piece that encloses both time and memory.|First unveiled in April 2025 at Milan Design Week, the collection invited visitors from around the world to sense its presence, transcending language and cultural boundaries to share in a quiet moment.
And this autumn, at DESIGNART TOKYO 2025, it will be exhibited in Japan for the first time.
We invite you to experience the quiet presence of “kehai.”
