TITLE | hypotenuse
I explored the shape of the legs based on a right triangle, expressing the angles of the back and legs when a person sits.
It is a geometric chair composed of thin planar surfaces.
TITLE | memory medicine
I designed a product set 30 years in the future, based on the theme of memory.
When we listen to music we once loved, the scenery of that time, the conversations we had, and other fragments of memory sometimes come rushing back. This work is a device that preserves the music played when a capsule is opened, along with the conversations and ambient sounds of that moment, allowing them to be passed on to the future.
Because we cannot see the songs we listened to with someone, or the time our family spent beyond our awareness, we imagine them in our minds-and they become new memories. As the contents of a capsule containing recorded audio signals slowly dissolve into liquid, the sound plays back, allowing forgotten memories and ordinary, fleeting moments to be revisited once more, just one last time.
