MITOMA is a shelf that subtly shifts the relationship between objects, people, and space through minute differences. By allowing the panels to meet only at their “corners,” it deliberately creates an irrational point of contact. The slight displacement that emerges gently alters one’s awareness when placing objects and redirects the flow of the gaze, introducing a faint fluctuation in the sense of distance between body and object. Though it serves as a structure that supports things, its almost floating appearance opens up a margin between function and presence, quietly reshaping everyday behavior.
Just like “Mitoma’s one-millimeter miracle,” decisive change often begins with the smallest of differences.
