SPACETIME is a mobile that embodies the universe. It combines a flexible blend of the latest cosmological theories with an impressionistic physics approach, inspired by the concept of “impressionist physics” proposed by French physicist Pierre-Gilles de Gennes. The piece is also an unformulated geometric model, born from research into the traditional craft of kirigami. The interior is decorated with universe-inspired graphics, and the mobile rotates silently with the air currents. This mobile offers viewers a diverse range of experiences—from moments of relaxation through its unique shimmering effect to a chance to explore the grandeur of the cosmos.
The other exhibit, COSMIC DRIPPER, is a variable coffee dripper that can be disassembled for compact storage and adjusted to brew for any number of people. Its sculptural form allows coffee to drip as if it were falling into a black hole.
