CONTRAST presents “Tokyo Nymphs”, the first solo exhibition in Japan by a multidisciplinary 3D designer and director, Ujin Lin, based in Taipei and London.
“Tokyo Nymphs” is an unfolding metamorphosis. At its heart are Nymphs: beings that begin as sculptural forms made from discarded paper and packaging material, then brought into the digital realm, sculpted in 3D, and manipulated with generative AI. Blending the raw and the high-tech, the exhibition reflects the tension of transformation and the quiet urgency of survival in a rapidly shifting landscape. In this imagined world, visitors glimpse a space in flux, where old skins are shed, new identities emerge, and everything is in the midst of becoming.
During DESIGNART TOKYO, the exhibition will also be on view at CONTRAST in Yoyogi Hachiman, offering audiences the chance to encounter Lin’s immersive works across both venues.
