TITLE | Shell Strata
A material emphasizing the layered textures engraved in each shell and the unique curves inherent to each one.
After drifting in the sea, large quantities of shells wash up on the shore, where they are treated as natural waste for safety management.
At the same time, with ongoing global warming altering the properties of seawater, there is a concern that shells may become increasingly difficult to form.
Amid these circumstances, this work seeks to refocus attention on the role of shells-long integrated into human life as tools and ornaments-and to carry their value forward into the future.
