Geometrical, pure, and monumental, the vase redefines what such an object can be. Measuring 60 cm in diameter, it is heavy yet seemingly weightless — resting firmly while appearing to float. As described by its creators: “Dark, black, yet transparent enough to glimpse within — The Black Hole Vase connects the history of human cultural evolution with the spirit of future discovery.” This story bridges a century of Swedish innovation. In 1925, Orrefors achieved its international breakthrough at the Paris World Expo.
